SINGAPORE – Three people were taken to the hospital after an accident involving two cars in Ang Mo Kio on the evening of May 9.
The police said they were alerted to the accident, at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 and Ang Mo Kio Central 2, at 7.25pm.
Two passengers, girls aged 9 and 12, and a 30-year-old male car driver were taken conscious to the hospital.
A resident told The Straits Times that she had heard a loud noise coming from the traffic junction around the time the accident took place.
“There was a young girl lying on the grass patch who looked quite dazed, and she was complaining to her mother that her chest hurt,” said the resident, who wanted to be known only as Wendy.
In a video uploaded on Facebook group Complaint Singapore, at least six first responders, donning hi-visibility vests, can be seen tending to three people who are lying on a grass patch beside the road.
Two stationary sedans can be seen in the background. One is on the road, facing the direction of oncoming traffic, while the other is partially mounted on the kerb and grass patch.
The police said that two male car drivers, aged 30 and 41, are assisting with investigations.
