2 people taken to hospital after 5-vehicle accident on ECP

SINGAPORE – Two men were taken to hospital after an accident involving five vehicles on the ECP on the morning of April 25.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the accident on the expressway towards MCE before Still Road South exit at 9am.

Police said one taxi, three cars and one motorcycle were involved in the accident.

A male motorcyclist, 26, and a male car driver, 31, were taken conscious to Raffles Hospital.

Two male car drivers, aged 44 and 70, and a 59-year-old taxi driver are assisting with investigations.

In a video posted on Telegram channel SG Road Chat, a damaged motorcycle can be seen lying between a dark-coloured multi-purpose vehicle and a silver sedan on the rightmost lane of the expressway.

A man can be seen picking up some personal belongings and placing them near the mangled bike. An ambulance, a blue ComfortDelGro taxi and a black car can also be seen in the video.

Investigations are ongoing.
