KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Malaysians to step into 2026 with a spirit of unity, determination, and a shared commitment to ongoing reform.
In his New Year message, Anwar said the nation must continue to strengthen social cohesion while ensuring that prosperity reaches all segments of society.
“Let us move forward together, uniting our actions and resolve, to realise a Malaysia Madani that is fairer, more prosperous, and resilient, elevating the nation’s standing while ensuring inclusive prosperity for all Malaysians,” he said.
Anwar added that the Madani government would continue to serve with integrity, courage, and compassion, committed to fulfilling its responsibilities honestly, delivering tangible benefits to the people, and securing a stable future for the country.
“May 2026 be a year of greater achievement and significance for all Malaysians. Azizah and I pray that our beloved country continues to remain peaceful, harmonious, and prosperous,” he said.
