MN Holdings bags RM216mil data centre substation contract

KUALA LUMPUR: MN Holdings Bhd’s unit, MN Utilities Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM216 million contract to design and build a consumer substation for a data centre in the southern region.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the project covers the design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the substation.

The scope also includes the supply of labour, equipment and materials, perimeter fencing, as well as the connection of high-voltage cables between substation sites.

MN Holdings said it could not disclose the customer’s identity due to a non-disclosure agreement between the parties.

The project began on Feb 1 and is scheduled for completion by Sept 30.

“The contract will not have any effect on the issued share capital or the shareholdings of the company’s substantial shareholders.

“It is expected to contribute positively to the company’s future earnings and net assets per share upon commencement of the project,” it said.
