If you’ve been seeing neatly boxed banana cakes popping up on your IG feed lately, they’re likely from Bake It Babe, a Bangkok-born brand that opened its first overseas outlet in Singapore on April 1.
Its banana cake has gone viral in Thailand, especially after a TikTok post by Thai influencer Tuk Little Monster garnered over 1.7 million views. You won’t see a queue forming outside its Desker Road shop here though, as all cakes are sold via pre-order rather than walk-ins.
The brand’s quirky name and logo were inspired by a photo of its founder holding a tray of bakes, while the name itself is a playful nod to her love for Taylor Swift — specifically the song Babe (Taylor’s Version).
