Singapore seeks bids for hydrogen-ready power plants by 2031


SINGAPORE, April 29 — Singapore’s ‌Energy Market Authority ​has called for proposals to ‌build hydrogen-ready combined cycle ​gas turbine (CCGT) generating units to be operational in ​2031 and 2032, the agency said in a press release ‌on Wednesday.

Under ⁠the proposal ⁠request, ⁠the private sector ⁠will ⁠build, own, and operate the CCGT ⁠units, with one to be ready by 2031 and up to ⁠two others by 2032.

Each unit is expected ⁠to provide at least ⁠600 ⁠megawatts of generation ​capacity, ​it said. — Reuters
