SINGAPORE, July 25 — A night-time brawl at a Yishun housing estate left a 48-year-old man unconscious, with police now trying to track down those involved.
The incident happened at Block 243 Yishun Ring Road at about 8pm yesterday, The Straits Times reported police as confirming.
Officers who arrived at the scene found the injured man at a nearby carpark, and he was later taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
Police are investigating the case and have not said how many people they are looking for.
Chinese-language newspaper Shin Min Daily News reported that witnesses saw a group of people attacking the man, who was lying on the ground with facial injuries.
The newspaper also reported that blood stains and scattered debris were found near a parking area after the fight.
According to Shin Min, the group, believed to comprise five to six people, left before police arrived.
A staff member from a nearby convenience store told the newspaper that a police officer had asked if she saw a man with blond hair passing by after the incident.
