7-Eleven Singapore launches self-care spots at dining spaces islandwide

7-Eleven Singapore launched its new Take Five Spot initiative on Sunday (Aug 23), transforming dine-in spaces at more than 60 stores islandwide into self-care spots for customers.

At these spots, customers can do self-guided breathing exercises, as well as explore mental well-being resources from the mental health portal MindSG.

The spaces feature step-by-step guides for two simple breathing exercises: Five Finger Breathing, where customers trace each finger while breathing in and out; and Box Breathing, a steady four-count rhythm of “breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold” to relax and keep calm.

These exercises were chosen for their simplicity and approachability, allowing anyone, regardless of age, to complete them within minutes.

According to 7-Eleven Singapore, the Take Five Spot initiative was inspired by the idea of making the time customers spend in its stores more meaningful as well as making self-care moments more accessible in everyday life.
