Driver assisting with investigations after accident involving pedestrian in Boon Lay


SINGAPORE – A 33-year old male car driver is assisting the police in investigations following an accident involving a pedestrian in Boon Lay.

The police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a pedestrian along the service road of Tradehub 21 on March 29 at about 12.55pm.

In video footage posted by Facebook page SG Road Vigilante, a woman in a checked dress can be seen walking while looking down at her phone in a carpark.

As a car reverses into the parking space where she is standing with her back to the vehicle, it hits her and she falls to the ground.

Several people can be seen rushing to help the 43-year-old woman.

The police said she sought medical attention at a hospital on her own. 

Police investigations are ongoing.
