Edwin Goh Leaves Mediacorp, Working In Retail In Australia Now

Edwin Goh took to Instagram today (Dec 5) to announce that he has left Mediacorp.

The 29-year-old actor posted a Reel about his last day as a Mediacorp actor — he was seen returning his staff pass — and reflected on everything he has achieved since starting out at the age of 15 in Fighting Spiders in 2009.

Edwin also shared some life updates, including how he is currently working in retail in what seems to be at a shopping mall in Australia.

“It is exciting to me because even though I have had a lot of on-screen occupations, I have never had a real-life occupation other than acting and I’ve learned a lot from it,” said Edwin in the video.

However, fans won’t need to despair as he also shared that he has been auditioning for gigs and signing up for acting classes to further “hone his craft to learning new techniques.”

Fellow Mediacorp actors Zoe Tay, Bonnie Loo, and Zhang Yaodong took to the comments section wishing him the best, while Cynthia Koh wrote that she will always be cheering him on and “sending [him] good juju…”

Edwin was just in Singapore with girlfriend Rachel Wan and the couple graced the red carpet at the 34th Singapore International Film Festival.

Mediacorp’s artiste management arm, The Celebrity Agency also shared this statement with 8days.sg: “We would like to share that Edwin’s contract with The Celebrity Agency has come to an end. We wish Edwin all the best in his future endeavours and look forward to working with him again.”
