The Korea Rail Network Authority (KRNA) announced on May 17 that it has been selected as the winning bidder for the Zone 4 in the reference design consultant (RDC) sector of the Malaysia-Singapore high-speed railway project. Malaysia called for international bids for the project.
Accordingly, the KRNA will design the civil structure of the high-speed rail line running 108 kilometers, which stretches from the border between Selangor State and Negeri Sembilan State to the border between Melaka State and Johor in Malaysia. The service costs about 4 billion won (US$3.56 million).
