Infinite’s L, Aka Kim Myungsoo, Surprises Students As Guest Lecturer At University

Imagine dragging yourself to class at uni, expecting another ordinary lecture, and a K-pop idol is announced to be the guest lecturer for the day.

That’s exactly what happened to a group of students at Sejong University recently.

South Korean singer and actor Kim Myung Soo, better known as L from K-pop group Infinite, was recently a special guest lecturer at an Applied Music class in the university.

The star is an alumnus of Sejong University, having studied Practical Music at the university’s Graduate School of Convergence Arts.

Safe to say, many were probably thanking their lucky stars they didn’t skip class that day.

According to attendees, the session was deliberately kept under wraps to prevent overcrowding and potential chaos on campus.

The 34-year-old reportedly spent much of the lecture discussing career longevity and sharing lessons from nearly 16 years in the entertainment industry.

However, many students appeared equally fascinated by something else.

His good looks, of course.

One recurring theme across social media comments was just how handsome attendees thought he looked in real life.

Several students admitted they found it difficult to focus on the lecture because they were still trying to process the fact that L was standing just a few metres away from them.

The appearance carried special meaning for L as well.

Back in 2016, L and several of his INFINITE bandmates also each donated 10 million won (S$8,400) to Sejong University’s development fund to support future students and campus projects.

Unsurprisingly, the comments section quickly filled with people expressing varying levels of envy.

Many couldn’t get over the fact that an ordinary university lecture had suddenly turned into what looked very much like a fan meeting.
