Just days after officially opening her new wellness centre, Singapore billionaire heiress and beauty mogul Kim Lim found herself dealing with a not-so-relaxing wellness emergency.
The 34-year-old, who celebrated the launch of The Wellness Space by illumia at Wheelock Place on May 24, was suddenly activated for crisis management duties at 5am yesterday morning (May 28) after a water pipe reportedly burst and flooded the entire unit.
Sharing videos of the “flood” on Instagram stories, Kim could be seen sloshing through what looked like about one and a half inches of water, as she surveyed the damage across the space.
“Super major crisis at our new our new wellness space. Look at the floor… all our machines… all the rooms [are affected],” Kim lamented in one clip, which showed a worker arriving to clear the waterlogged premises.
According to pal and local influencer Xiaxue, who was mobilised to help with the clean-up, the situation was so bad that water seeped into her platform Crocs. Towels and bedsheets in the wellness space were also drenched.
Kim also got hands-on during the clean-up efforts.
The usually glamorous socialite, dressed in pyjamas, glasses and a headband, was seen squatting on the floor scooping water into a large bin and sink.
“Cinderella reporting for duty,” Xiaxue joked.
At one point, Kim, who looked visibly exhausted and dishevelled, bluntly declared: “This is really the sh*t.”
Despite the ordeal, Kim still managed to remain positive, joking: “Water brings wealth. Huat ah!”
A day before the flooding drama unfolded, Kim had been all glammed up attending the Icon Ball.
Xiaxue best summed up the dramatic transformation with a pic of Kim looking red carpet-ready at 8pm, followed by one of her squatting on the floor scooping water out of the flooded space.
“Kim Lim at 8pm at Icon Ball. Kim Lim at 5am. We stan a versatile queen,” she wrote.
