Live: Lawrence Wong to be sworn in as Singapore’s Prime Minister


SINGAPORE: Singapore’s incoming Prime Minister Lawrence Wong will be sworn in on Wednesday night (May 15), marking the country’s first leadership transition in 20 years. 

Mr Wong, 51, takes over from Mr Lee Hsien Loong, 72, who will remain in the Cabinet as Senior Minister.

Unveiling his first Cabinet lineup on Monday, Mr Wong sought to prioritise continuity and stability, appointing seasoned politician Gan Kim Yong as Deputy Prime Minister.
