Man charged after he allegedly flashed flight attendant on board Singapore Airlines plane

SINGAPORE – A man has been charged with exposing himself to a Singapore Airlines cabin crew member during a flight to Singapore on Jan 23.

Brilliant Angjaya, 23, who appeared in a district court on March 12, is accused of intentionally exposing his private parts to the woman. He is expected to plead guilty on March 24.

Court documents did not disclose where the plane had departed from.

Police said in an earlier statement that the Indonesian man had allegedly unzipped his trousers and exposed his genitals before covering himself with a blanket.

“He then set up his mobile phone and switched it to video recording mode. When a female cabin crew (member) approached him to serve his meal, the man purportedly removed the blanket and exposed his genitals to her in full view,” the statement said.

The woman walked away and reported the matter to her supervisor.

Officers from the Airport Police Division arrested Brilliant and seized his phone when the aircraft landed at Changi Airport.

Offenders convicted of sexual exposure can be jailed for up to a year and fined.
