SINGAPORE – A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after an accident with a car along Jurong West Avenue 4 on the evening of Nov 12.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident at around 7.10pm that day. The 41-year-old motorcyclist was conscious when he was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, the authorities said.
Footage uploaded on Facebook shows a car turning out of a slip road onto the main road and hitting a motorcycle travelling in the middle lane, causing the rider to lose balance.
The impact sends the motorcycle into the rightmost lane as the rider crashes onto the road divider platform. In the footage, the rider’s footwear is seen coming off and falling onto the road.
The police said an 82-year-old male car driver is assisting with ongoing investigations.
According to police statistics, the number of people killed and injured in traffic accidents

The number of accidents resulting in injuries also increased from 3,437 in the first half of 2024 to 3,740 in the first six months of 2025,
said the Traffic Police in a mid-year report
. This led to 4,860 injured people, up from 4,665 the year before.
