SINGAPORE: Train services on the Sengkang-Punggol LRT line were affected for over four hours on Sunday (Jun 9) morning due to a signalling fault.
SBS Transit first posted on X at 5.47am that there was no LRT train service for both Sengkang and Punggol LRT stations.
It said no fares would be deducted if commuters exit from affected LRT stations, adding that free regular and bridging buses had been made available at both stations, and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
In an update at 9.25am, SBS Transit said there was no train service on the Sengkang-Punggol LRT due to a signalling fault and that recovery work is in progress.
Affected passengers were advised to follow directional signs to get to the boarding point for the free regular and bridging bus services, and to access the SBS Transit app under the “Alternative Transport Option” for more information.
SBS Transit later said that train service on the Sengkang-Punggol LRT system had resumed since 10.12am, but free regular and bridging bus services were still available at designated bus stops.
