'Shame on you guys', Faizal slams Al-Nasr hockey club

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran forward Faizal Saari is irked with Oman hockey club, Al-Nasr, for failing to pay his salary.

Faizal, who retired from the national team last month, vented his frustration in social media after Al-Nasr allegedly did not pay him for his services in the 2018-2019 Saudi Arabian Hockey League.

Faizal said South Korean Jang Jong Hyun also suffered the same fate as both of them had been chasing the club for their salaries for four months.

“If there is no money, then there is no need to import players like me and Jong Hyun.

“Al-Nasr Hockey Team in Oman, please pay our salary arrears. It has been four months already and it is really embarrassing.

“Shame on you guys, especially the owners of Al-Nasr. Please be responsible,” said the 34-year-old Faizal.

Australian player Kieran Govers also shared Faizal’s post, stating that he and several countrymen also faced salary issues with Al-Nasr.

“They still owe my friends money as well,” said Govers.

Faizal helped Terengganu win the treble in the Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) which ended last month.
