KUALA LUMPUR: The 6th International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) 2024 will be held on August 20-21, 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
The summit, themed “Accelerating Energy Transition Through Innovation”, is organised by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia.
It will be hosted by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
SEDA Malaysia chief executive officer and the organising chair of the 6th ISES 2024 Datuk Hamzah Hussin said the event will be instrumental in driving Malaysia towards its goal of a 70 per cent renewable energy capacity mix by 2050.
He invited stakeholders to join this pivotal event, adding that SEDA Malaysia is at the forefront of shaping the nation’s energy future.
“We welcome partners to showcase their commitment to sustainable practices and innovation, contributing to global leadership in the sustainable energy sector.
“The 6th ISES 2024 is more than just a summit; it is a movement towards a sustainable future,” he said in a statement.
Scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the summit is seen as testament to Malaysia’s leadership in the Asean region’s sustainable energy transition.
It will serve as a platform to further these objectives by fostering regional
and global partnerships, sharing best practices, and showcasing the latest innovations in the field.
The summit will include plenary sessions and deep dive workshops led by distinguished energy experts and leaders.
The sessions will explore a range of topics, including green mobility, grid modernisation, and the integration of environment, social, and governance (ESG) principles into investment and financing strategies.
The event will also underscore the importance of developing new energy technologies and nurturing young talent
to ensure a robust future for the energy sector.
Over the years, ISES has solidified its reputation as a premier, must-attend event in the field of sustainable energy, effectively facilitating industry players.
