Roads turned into murky rivers, causing major congestion and leaving motorists stranded.
A heartwarming video of a truck rescuing stranded motorcyclists amid the flood has gone viral.
In the Xiaohongshu clip, the truck can be seen ferrying more than 15 motorcyclists and their bikes through a flooded road.
Some waved as they passed by fellow motorists still trapped in the floodwaters.
A few unlucky motorcyclists could be seen peering enviously from the sidelines, likely wondering how they could hitch a ride themselves.
Many netizens praised the truck driver for his kindness, calling for him to be recognised for his deed.
“So full of love! If only there were more people like this, the world would be a better place,” said one netizen.
Another described the scene as “a touching sight”, likening it to the legend of Kusu Island, where a tortoise transformed into an island to save two shipwrecked sailors.
