‘We’re righting a wrong’ – bodies of Kiwi soldiers killed in Malaysia and Singapore to be returned home

After nearly 50 years, the bodies of Kiwi soldiers killed in Malaysia and Singapore are to be returned to New Zealand with funding from the government.

The families of the veterans have spent decades fighting to get their loved ones buried at home, and Bill English’s government looks to be following in the steps of Australia, which repatriated the bodies of 25 veterans last year.
